An assessment, undertaken under the responsibility of the same organisation in order to monitor the validity of the quality assurance system and the compliance with this guide. It can be conducted by designated competent person(s) from the organisation or assisted by external experts

Проверка и оценка всей или части QMS с конкретной целью усовершенствования. Внутренний аудит должен проводиться независимой (т. е. от проверяемой функции) группой компетентных аудиторов, назначенных руководством для этой цели
An examination and assessment of all or part of a QMS with the specific purpose of improvement. An internal audit should be conducted by an independent (i.e. of the function to be audited) team of competent auditors as designated by the management for this purpose
